Terminator 3: Rise of The Machines

"I'm Back! Chirst, not again..."

April 12th, 2002

Shooting for T-3 has begun this week.

Oh boy. You know a little kid in me goes WOW! COOL! T-3! But then again the little kid in me knew about James Cameron too and watched every movie that the man directed religiously. I don't know what to think about T-3. When Cameron passed on the project, I knew something wasn't right. You see Jim ended the Terminator Saga with T-2. It was over. Now again, studios, actors and producers wanna make someone money and along comes T-3. You'd think T-3 would atleast be about the future wars that were dipicted heavily in Cameron's first draft of the T-2 screenplay then latter cut out because of time/money constraints, but no. T-3 is another, "we machines gotta lay the smackdown on John Connor before he caps us storyline".

It is rumoured that Cameron offered a little help with the screenplay for T-3, just so that the poor bastards making this were on the right track. When Cameron and co-writter William Wisher tackled T-2, they thought about using a female human machine as the main anatgonist but they couldn't bring themselves to do it because they felt it would be too much like Arnold battling "the bitch". Guess who the main villian in T-3 is(oh ya and she is know as "The Terminatrix", oh crap...) Hmmmm... Not good.

Maybe I'm being to critical. Maybe I'm just loosing it but you gotta wonder what the hell is going on that set and I hope that Arnold, Stan Winston(T-1/T-2 effects God - I still thank the Lord daily that he is heavily involved) and director Jonathan Mostow are channeling Cameron's creative energy on this project.

Cause there is hell to be paid if this movie sucks.
